The Hole is only available after completing The Forest. It is infested with spikes if you make a wrong turn. You start at the top, and use the left and right keys to navigate (this makes it impossible to do on touchscreens - you will only hit spikes).

Tips
The Hole is a simple puzzle area if you have a pogo stick and a desert bird feather. Having an enchanted monkey wizard staff makes this place even more simple (because you won't have to deal with Tribal Warriors in hand-to-hand combat).
While falling down you will shortly arrive at a crossroad where you can go either left or right - don't go left unless you have the Sponge item (you can get it from the Sea) because you won't be able to fit through the narrow corridor - leading to a chest (it contains the Black magic grimoire with two spells: "Obsidian Wall" and "Black Demons").
The Right Path (the Direction, Not the Correct Path)
The first chest to the right (after the very first spike dodges) can be obtained with enchanted knight armour and over 1000hp (400hp if you apply health at once when you leap on to the spikes). Another way would be to drink an anti-gravity potion and go get the chest, then teleport to get back to the top.
Rest of this place is pretty simple, dodge spikes, drop to the bottom left corridor and use your homing magic bolts to kill all Tribal Warriors, which will open you the way to the last chest.
You can also use acid rain to kill them. Simply stay where they can't reach you and keep throwing rain (equip the pink enchanted glove for this). In order to make it faster, brew some anti-gravity potions and equip something to throw fireballs. Jump back up the ramp and drop to the very bottom of this pit in order to leave this place with your prizes.
Notes
Keep in mind that the time slowing ability (from the time ring) will help your hero navigate the descent much easier.
Left Path
You need sponge from the sea. You avoid the spikes by landing in the exact right place, and you squeeze down. You open the chest. After opening the chest, using teleport will send you back to the beginning of The Hole where you can drop all the way to the bottom and claim the items.
