The Cellar is the first quest in the game. It is accessible after you buy and then equip your first weapon from Blacksmith at The Forge and speak to the man in the Sixth House of The Village. The reward for completing it is the World Map. You can't escape or repeat the quest.
The only enemy is the Rat. The number of rats can range from 0 to 31, but 90% of Cellars will spawn 15 to 21 rats, and 66% will spawn 17-20 rats.
